And finally...
Where to start? It has been a privilege to have been the head teacher of Perthcelyn Community Primary School over the past fourteen years. There's never been a dull day and I've enjoyed every minute of it. It's a fantastic school community that will continue to grow and flourish.
A massive thank you for all the cards, gifts, hugs and good wishes from parents, grandparents, staff, former staff, pupils and former pupils. It has been very humbling and something I will never forget. The final send-off in the community car park was truly, overwhelming. My wife and daughter keep watching the video and get emotional every time!
A big thank you to all the staff that I've worked alongside over the past foutreen years, They have always worked so hard for the benefit of the children.
Finally, I would like to wish Mrs Ellen Hook very best wishes as she takes up her role as headteacher in September. I know she's really looking forward to starting and you'll give her a warm welcome.
You'll probably hear from me again before we start back in September but in the meantime, have a fantastic holiday and let's hope the sun finally makes an appearance!
I'll leave the final words to one of the children in Foundation Phase who wrote about why the liked Mr James. They wrote, "He doesn't snatch and he's a good boy." That's all you can ask for really.
Mr A. D. James
